This event system was designed for a the 61st Annual Monterey Jazz Festival. A festival that has quite the reputation for being one of the best jazz festivals to attend in the U.S., and was recently voted “World’s Best Jazz Festival” by the readers of Jazz Times Magazine in 2016.
Each year they have a contest that allows contestants to design the event flyer and design system for that year. I focused on the most important part of this festival; the genre of music and the instruments. I experimented with funky instrumental letters, textures and cool colors to complete this jazzy design.
